Notice of Public Hearing Granville Township Joint Economic Development District No. 1

The Board of Trustees of Granville Township proposes to enter into a Contract to create a Joint Economic Development District known as the Granville Joint Economic Development District No. 1 (JEDD No. 1) with the Village of Granville to facilitate economic development, create and preserve jobs and employment opportunities, and improve the economic welfare of the people in the Township, the JEDD district, and the State of Ohio.

A public hearing on the proposed JEDD No. 1 contract will be held at 7:00 p.m. on August 28, 2024, in the Granville Township meeting room, located at 1554 Columbus Road, Granville, Ohio 43023, at which time township residents and interested persons may make comments and recommendations, ask questions, and be heard.

A copy of (a) the JEDD Contract, (b) the description of the area or areas to be included in the JEDD (the Description), including a map in sufficient detail to denote the specific boundaries of the area or areas and to indicate any zoning restrictions applicable to the area or areas, and (c) an economic development plan for the JEDD No.1 (the Economic Development Plan) consisting of a schedule for the provision of the new, expanded or additional services, facilities or improvements identified in the JEDD No. 1 Contract, and a schedule for the collection of an income tax to be levied in the JEDD, is on file at the Granville Public Library, at 217 Broadway E, Granville, Ohio 43023 for public examination during normal business hours.
