Request for sealed proposals for “McPeek Lodge Park Soil Excavation, Relocation and Reclamation Project”

Sealed proposals for “McPeek Lodge Park Soil Excavation, Relocation and Reclamation Project” in Granville Township, Licking County, Ohio, will be received by the Granville Township Board of Trustees, in the care of Jerry Miller, Fiscal Officer, at P.O. Box 315, Granville, OH 43023-0315, until the 27 day of September, 2023 at 12:00 P.M. 

On the 27 day of September, 2023, at 7:00 P.M., bids will be opened at the Granville Township Service Complex, 1554 Columbus Road, Granville, OH, and publicly read out loud.  

A pre-bid site inspection will be held at McPeek Lodge Park, 3447 Raccoon Valley Road, Granville, OH, on September 14, 2023 at 9:00 AM. Plans, specifications, and bid forms may be secured from John Bowen, MAKSolve, LLC, at (513) 383-0233, or john@maksolve.com.

A brief description of the required work is as follows:  

removal of lead impacted soil identified within the adjacent property, then transport, relocate, deposit, grade, secure and vegetate those soils to the currently impacted grounds of the McPeek Property. Following removal, clean fill, from a known source, will be brought in to fill the void of the adjacent property and will be brought in to “cap” the relocated soils on the McPeek Property.  

Bids shall be sealed and marked as “McPeek Lodge Park Soil Excavation, Relocation and Reclamation Project.”

Each Bidder is required to furnish with its Bid Proposal, a Bid Guaranty in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code.  

Bidders must comply with the prevailing wage rates on Public Improvements in Licking County and Granville Township, Ohio, as determined by The Ohio Department of Industrial Relations. The Trustees reserve the right to reject any and all bids.

Time is of the essence. This project to be completed no later than December 31, 2023.
