Mosquito Control

Mosquito Control Program

Granville Township contracts with the Licking County Health Department for annual mosquito control during the mosquito season, which typically runs May through October. Together we do so in an effort to reduce nuisance mosquito populations and to control mosquito-borne disease such as West Nile Virus and LaCrosse Encephalitis.

Licking County Health Department will focus on areas near known mosquito breeding sites and areas with high population densities, this includes low lying public park spaces.

Spray schedules will be determined based on input from the designated local official, citizen complaints, and mosquito surveillance data.

Therefore, we ask for community input. Please email Trustee Bird, brynbird@granvilletownship.org with location of high mosquito presence or a request for traps in order to determine population levels and need for additional spraying.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.
